Summary

Help remove trash and/or invasive plant species by participating in one of three cleanups being organized by stewards of the Waltham Land Trust.

Description

The official Waltham Citywide Cleanup has been postponed to May 11th, but the need is now, so the three cleanups being organized by stewards of the Waltham Land Trust are happening on Saturday, April 27th.

Three location options:

  • Mass Central Rail Trail, park/meet at McDevitt Middle School, 75 Church Street.
  • Hardy Pond area, park/meet at Graverson Playground, 16 Pine Vale Road
  • Met State property, park/meet at McLaughlin Building by Dog Ranch, Metropolitan Parkway

Go directly to one of the locations to sign in and get trash bags. Dress appropriately with long sleeves/pants and sturdy, closed-toe footwear. Bring water, work gloves, loppers and other small tools if you have them, especially if volunteering in the Hardy Pond area. Hardy Pond will also have trash options and is recommended for families. Emailing Hardy Pond leader Betty MacKenzie to let her know you’re coming isn’t required, but appreciated.
