Location
Description
Join us for a short walk along the Charles River from Moody Street to Elm Street and back to hear about history, admire fall foliage, and look for birds like the black capped night heron. Masks required. We’ll meet by the historic Francis Cabot Lowell mill building where the American Industrial Revolution truly began and walk over to the fish ladder that was built to allow fish passage up the Moody Street dam. We’ll then stroll the boardwalk alongside the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation, under the Elm Street Bridge and over to the other side of the Charles. The new walkway by The Edison apartments will carry us back to Moody Street, where members of the group will be encouraged to walk up Moody Street to Bistro 781 for lunch.
