Wellington Fields Work Party

Celebrate National Public Lands Day, when people all over the country give back to our shared resources, by seeding the historic fields of the Wellington property by hand. This is a fun, very relaxing, Zen-like activity that anyone can do. People said it was an easy and satisfying project last year. We will divide the fields and bags of seed, and small teams will work section by section. People will each have a bucket of seeds and will fling the seeds in front of them in an arc. There's a knack to it, but people pick it up quickly. It's surprisingly effective, and much easier than the seed spreaders. We hope you'll join us!
