16th Annual New Year’s Day Hike

Join us for one of our most popular events of the year—our annual New Year’s Day hike which we’ve been doing since 2005! This has become a tradition for many folks who want to start the new year off right, outside with others enjoying amazing views of Waltham below and Boston skyline in the distance. Please park respectfully in the neighborhood and meet by the South Gate at 1:00 for a short but at times steep walk to the base of Little Prospect. One can take the paved but not plowed service road with others all the way to the top, or veer off with another group to finish the trek on woodland paths over rocks, etc. 

If you’d like to enjoy a longer trek through the park meet at 12:30 pm at 200 5th Ave. This route will be on a combination of service roads and trails.

Snacks will not be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Well-mannered, leashed dogs are welcome.
