Summary

Join us on January 14 at 1PM in search of hooded and common mergansers, ring-necks, and golden eyes as we walk along the Charles River in Waltham.

Description

From November to March, a variety of northern-dwelling ducks come south from Canada to winter on our waterways. We’ll walk along the Charles River trails to several viewing platforms to Moody Street and back in search of hooded and common mergansers, ring-necked and bufflehead ducks, and other diving or dabbling waterfowl. We might even be treated to an eagle or two soaring above!

Bring cameras and binoculars. Dress for the weather; postponed if precipitating.

Sorry, but dogs are not allowed since there is a lot of standing around; we don’t want dogs to get agitated and the ducks to fly away. Thanks for understanding.
