Summary
Description
Dive deep into thinking about water through art, storytelling, and a river walk with community members. This participatory art installation by Naoe Suzuki offers time and space to contemplate on our relationships with water. Participants receive a piece of original artwork in exchange for their response to the question, “What is your relationship with water?” Participatory activity is preceded with a one-hour nature/history walk along the Charles River led by the Waltham Land Trust.
River Walk meeting location: Woerd Ave Boat Launch (35 Woerd Ave), participatory activity: Lincoln Arts Project Gallery (289 Moody St). WLT’s Executive Director Sonja will walk back to the boat launch after the participatory activity, but you’re encouraged to spend time on Moody Street and make your way back later!
Registration required.
Students from Waltham Dual Language School will also be exhibiting their one-page artist’s books on the importance of marine life.
*The exhibit is up through October 6th. You can still view the exhibit without participating in any activities. Gallery hours are during the shop hours of Monique Lancourt Jewelry and Artisan Gallery. Please note: Lincoln Arts Project Gallery is usually locked. Please go to Monique Lancourt Jewelry and Artisan Gallery next door and ask them to open the Lincoln Arts Project Gallery for you, or make an appointment with Naoe Suzuki.
