25th Annual Charles River Earth Day Cleanup FULL

This clean up event is full now! But you can sign up and help clean up around Hardy Pond in north Waltham!

Sign up now for the 25th anniversary of this special event and help remove litter or invasive plants from along the banks of the Charles River. Individuals should register through the link and go to Shaw’s on April 20 for supplies, instructions, and snacks. Those interested in learning about the negative impacts of invasive vegetation on native plants should come at 10 am for in-the-field training and plant removal with WLT Stewards—tools provided but please bring work gloves and loppers if you have them. Those interested in simply removing litter should come at 10:30 for instructions, trash bags, and gloves if you don’t have them.

Because this is the 25th anniversary of one of the largest river cleanups in the country, drawing more than 4,500 volunteers across the watershed, WLT is joining the Cleanup's partner organizations in asking our corporate and for-profit volunteer groups to sponsor the management of this great event with a tax-deductible donation, based on the size of your group (see below). The Cleanup is a complex event, requiring materials and coordination from its program partners – all nonprofit organizations working to improve water and green space quality in the greater Boston area. Thank you for understanding!
