Description
Enjoy a fall hike through the woods and marsh of the Beaver Brook North Reservation and the Western Greenway before walking to nearby Wellington Fields. Guiding the hike will be Ranger Adam Green (Recreation Department) and Wellington volunteers. Bring your tree and plant questions - Adam is a forester and he and others will try to answer them! A short update will be made on the work at Wellington Fields and the Wellington house. Participants can walk around Wellington Fields to find plants, bugs, and birds and other wildlife before we head back together. This will be 3 miles roundtrip, plus an optional 0.4 miles loop trail at Wellington Fields.
Park at McLaughlin Building/City’s Dog Ranch, Metropolitan Parkway, off Trapelo Road opposite Forest Street.
