Summary

To know it is to love it - whether you call it the Paine Estate, Storer Conservation Lands, Stonehurst, Chesterbrook Woods or Waltham's Olmsted park, join WLT for a walk back in time.

Description

Join the Waltham Land Trust for a walk on the pristine northern woodlots of the Paine Estate for a bit of time travel. Imagine that it is October 4, 1884, and we are accompanying Mr. Paine in the woods for his first lesson in forestry from none other than Frederick Law Olmsted, champion of "parks for the people."

Share your hopes and dreams for the future of this land in the 21st century and beyond!

Please meet by the great arch on side of the house.

This event is co-hosted by the Waltham Land Trust, the City of Waltham, and the Friends of Stonehurst.
