National Trails Day - June 6, 2020

On this day, where normally the WLT would organize several trail projects, we encourage you to celebrate pathways on your own by grabbing a trash bag and picking up litter as you hike. You could also pull up as much garlic mustard plants as you can—remember to bag what you remove (don’t leave it to decompose in place), and put into the trash. The Western Greenway Trail, the Blue Heron Pathway along the Charles River, trails in other MA Department of Conservation and Recreation lands, and parks in many of our neighboring towns are open. Or simply trek around your yard or neighborhood and clean up what you can! Remember to wear a mask when out and check for ticks when back home!
